Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I never circled back but picked my plaid up in early March and have since added full front ppf, ceramic coating and ceramic window tint, along with 3d max interior all weather Matts.
Hey Ryan, which Plaid spec? My ultra red plaid is incoming to the pond springs Austin location and I have a delivery scheduled for 3/11. I wonder if you'll get your S around the same time?
Got an update on my plaid. Currently on a train in transit from the Fremont Factory. EDD 3/7-3/13. I have a hunch it will trend on to the sooner vs. later.
So... as usual I have mixed feedback. This lady (see attached) is saying they need the insurance info to show the vin of my plaid. Why would I insure a car for 2 weeks that I don't have yet? This is that gray area that hopes stuff like this would not hold up my delivery. In the tesla app it...
Alright folks, some good news because I was hyper aggressive with keeping track of inventory. Found my exact spec within 150 miles of San Antonio and is incoming. Called corporate and they simply assigned the car to my existing RN, no additional order fee, etc. my EDD is now 3/7 - 3/13.
Why...
You bring up a good point and I have pondered myself if Tesla is for me. My profession is literally to find excessive risk in processes and stress test, so you can imagine what I was thinking when it felt like a horribly coded AI was giving me bad info.
That said, the bargain of the Plaid for...
Is yours showing 2/23 - 3/15? That is mine, but I am waiting for a Plaid ultra red. My original EDD was 2/16-3/22 so it did tighten a bit, but still no vin. the only Ultra red Model S I have seen in Texas was sitting in Dallas last week and already got snatched up. I feel like Texas is due...
I can confirm that in general, Tesla employees don't even know their own process... I sent a text in the app asking if there is anything holding up my VIN assignment that I can fix... first they said no, then they said I didn't do my registration (which I did almost a month ago)... they then...
Still no vin for me despite lots of other ultra red orders getting one. I was also so desperate to try and snatch the one up that went to Dallas (my same spec) during my business trip but it already sold, so was likely a customer order. Also a white one in Austin and a gray one in San Antonio...
I feel like Tesla is not very good at prioritizing customer sold orders. For example, The exact spec I am waiting for is now sitting in Dallas with no buyer (literally just got there). If there is someone in the system in Texas that already has all paperwork done and is essentially just...
Am I reading the tesla-info site right? I looked through 100+ plaids and not a single one showed pick up in/within 100 miles of TX. If that is supposed to be the location of where the car is shipping to or has already arrived at, why in the world would there not be a single one for TX?
MSP ultra red on order here. Order placed 1/28. Original EDD was 2/16 - 3/22 and today it changed to 2/23 - 3/15. So my earliest moved back but latest moved to sooner. Is this good, bad, neutral? Seems like most of you are having the whole range pushed back so I found mine odd.
Hello everyone - rookie and likely Tesla owner here. I placed an order for an ultra red MSP on 1/28 and have completed all of my pre delivery tasks. This is a big change for me... coming from RS Audi cars and BMW M cars, but I've always loved the Model S and the price is too hard to pass on...
