Model 3 Highland LR Range after charging

Hi Guys,

I have had my Model 3 Highland LR since March.

Noticed that at 80% charge the range is only 400Km.

anyone with model 3 LR care to share what their ranges are at 80% charge?

my mate tells me it’s too low and i should send it in to service

Charge it to 100%, leave it for a few hours to let the BMS do its stuff, then check.

Put the car into percentage permanently, stop worrying about kms shown which in reality is only a guide and get on with enjoying the car.

I have a 2022 M3LR and I get 270 miles or 434 kilometers at 80% charge. Hope that helps. Use the tessie app for more battery/range analytics.

That sounds about right, our 2022 M3LR will show about 530/540km range at 100%. I don't think there's anything wrong with your car.

Our M3LR from 1991 is certainly not a Highlander, but the 100% range sits around 530->537 and at 80% it's around the 400 mark. My "Rated" and "Estimated" ranges also track reasonably closely most of the time, depending upon recent drives.

I do not think you have cause for complaint.

As others have recommended, I always focus on SOC and take very little notice of estimated ranges. My default display is % SOC.

My car has lost approx 1.5kwhrs or 2.2% in the 32 months I've owned it.

I logged a service with Tesla. They diagnosed it remotely and rang me.

service guy said there’s nothing wrong withthe car. At 100% charge , EPA is 490Km with 19 wheels

Who goes into the range graph to occasionally check the estimated range though? Does anything think the gesso meter should be on the main screen.

I only ever look at the % myself (except when I'm doing video's of road trips as everyone seems to want to see the efficiency stats)

Mine shows 440 at 80%, 550 at 100%. 2000kms on the odometer.
