I passed on it when it was $6000 and never regretted it.

I bought the car to drive, not for it to make life or death decisions for me while my family and myself are passengers.

IF I was to start a "taxi" business in the future and used Tesla FSD to get people from point A to B then it might be a worthwhile investment.
 
$10,000 says Go Away. Even if it worked well, As it is, I have a personal policy to never buy software based on a promise, especially when said software is tied to a car that can be destroyed and the software upgrade is not covered by insurance. At least to me, $10,000 is $10,000.
