Decreasing P85D range

Let's revive this thread as the cars get older. My P85D December 2014 production date with 43k miles now, at 100% charge (rated/ideal) shows 246/318. At 90%, it's 221/285 miles. After almost 5 years, battery degradation rate is 2.77% (based on 253 EPA brand new).

Wow, I’m jealous for sure. My Dec ‘14 P85D had 241 miles when I bought it with ~30k on the clock (4.7% degradation). It was steady for the longest time until the s/w update (16.2 or whatever it was). I’m now at only 234mi full charge. :(

If it's any consolation, 7 of those miles are not real range loss but intentional capping by Tesla to lock you out of the top of your battery.

My P85D Dec 2014 with 52K miles (83733 km) charges to 248 miles (397km) with TM-Spy reporting 76,6 KwH battery.
Highest rated range I remember was 250 miles, never saw EPA value of 253, so I witnessed 2 miles only degradation...cross-fingers and touch wood!

Wow! Even with being on the latest firmware? Have Supercharged recently by any chance? Just wondering if you’ve seen the dramatic reduction in charge rate as well since the s/w update clearly didn’t affect your max range.

for the sake of reporting - I just got the latest update last night before it charged over night at home - version 2019.32.12.3 1b89dd1

It charged to 216.75 rated miles at 90% SOC - (estimated 240.83 at 100% SOC). 65K Miles on the car. All data according to TeslaFi.

12/2014 build with 93k miles Ive gone from 90% at 223 miles rated with 48k on the car when I bought it about a year ago, now with the 93k the 90% is 213 rated miles. I charge at 40 amps daily at work and Urban Charge on the weekend every weekend as I dont have 220v at home and 110v is worthless. also made the LA to Vegas trip about 3x in the past year so SC while on those trips. I did however notice every time I get back from Vegas trip the rated is a few miles lower. Will test again in December to see if it drops again.

How many miles on your P85D ?

Ludicrous or Insane?

What was "trick" to get your battery replaced?
Insane mode only.

constant drive 350-450wh in insane and sport mode.
I knew my battery was acting up and they always said nothing was wrong.

this latest service the car would charge and say complete at 98pct. So I screen shot that on the app, then next morning I came out and it was at 91pct and 201 miles. Losing 7 pct over night. So I took a video showing it hasn't been used since the last charged and toggled back and forth from the pct to distance.

I just kept at it and was ready to go the lemon route.
