Just a rumour, first supercharger in Quebec could be around the Costco in Drummondville instead of the rumoured Madrid location. Could be a better location as it covers trips to/from Sherbrooke too via aut 55.

I also heard Drummonville from the Tesla Service Center when I mentioned the lack of super chargers in Canada.

I'm a pessimist and don't believe Canadian superchargers will arrive for at least a couple of years!
Tesla's priority still lies with Europe and China unfortunately!

I find no small sense of irony in the fact that the supercharger permit application is listed under the "delegated application list" for Squamish, yet it has not yet been approved months after the fact.

The delegated list is used to fast-track simple permit applications that don't need city council approval. Rather, the city manager can review and approve.

It could possibly help, but start with a gentle "ask" of the city staff. You want to stay on the good side of the city staff and not get in the way of Tesla. Don't go to the politicians unless it sounds like they're not going to approve for some reason.

Again, be sure to keep it very positive. Mention that you'll be far more likely to stop in the town once the charger is installed, otherwise you'll be going to Town X down the road where they have a Level II charger.

Haha don't worry. Since I got my Tesla, I've been trying to promote a positive image and be a good EV ambassador on the road. I will be polite, I promise .

I could have really used that Albany Supercharger a few weeks ago. Had to rent an ICE in order to do my trip in the available time.

I thought I'd email KEDCO - Kingston Economic Development Corporation - to see if I could get any new information on when the Supercharger there will be opening. They only said "We are in the process of installing a supercharger in Kingston and we hope to see it operational this year. I will let you know once we have confirmed dates." I'm hoping it is open before the cold weather is back!

True, but remember this is from KEDCO, not Tesla. They may just not want to speak for Tesla, and they aren't really in control of the construction schedule.
