EV tax write-off: can it be spread over multiple years?

If you wanted to split it over the course of multiple years, couldn't you use the regular CCA schedule to depreciate it? Then you aren't limited to 55k, and could do the full amount?

Ontario to invest $20 million in stations to charge up electric cars

If 407 allowed EV's to go toll free like Norway, I'm sure GTA would have significantly higher EV sales. :)

Remote S: Tesla app for Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Has the topic of royalty payments come up? As a smaller developer, you should be able to reason with the other party that your sales are X and that you would pay a certain % of sales. I would think that % would be much lower than legal fees to fight the lawsuit.

    21" wheels for sale?!!?

I used Alloy Wheel Repair in Stittsville. I can arrange to meet you if you want to take a look at their repairs on mine.

    3rd row ventilation

My method was pretty ghetto, usb power banks are pretty much a dime a dozen. I got two of those and 2 usb powered desk fans. If the kids are hot, they turn on the fans themselves. No need to run any extra wiring. After the trip, I just plug the power banks into the usb at the front and they are...

LF:Tesla friendly Alignment Shop in Ottawa

Made an appointment with my wife's car's dealership since I remembered them mentioning they service another local Tesla. Have been happy with their service, so hopefully will be painless. :)

LF:Tesla friendly Alignment Shop in Ottawa

Hi folks, Went over a pothole and thankfully didn't damage any tires like last year (bubbles in sidewall). However, I am noticing it pulling to one side now. Anyone have recommendations on alignment shops is Ottawa that they have taken their Model St? Thanks, Asif

    Eastern Canada Superchargers

Used Comber on Friday evening on my trip from Stittsville to Kingsville. Worked great as I was exiting the 401 at the exit anyways and topped up for the weekend stay. Allowed me to plug into a regular 120v outlet and stay charged up for the trip back.

Anyone in GTA / Ottawa / Montreal have an audio upgrade done?

I'm watching this thread with interest as well. I'm in Ottawa and would like to hear of good local installers.

Originally, all cars had the extra reinforcements, whether you had the jump seats or not. Then it was changed around VIN 5500 where only the factory ordered jump seat option included the reinforcements. I confirmed with Tesla that my VIN met the requirements for the jump seats and that they...

They were great with turnaround. I had the dual charger and the rear jump seats installed prior to taking delivery. Eastern Canada Superchargers

Since I got my Tesla second hand, I paid $3,600 to get the dual chargers after the fact. For me it was worth it after seeing that where I was going to be travelling, there were high amp chargers. I've made use of the dual chargers more than I had planned since SuC's were supposed to be rolled...

Michelin Pilot Super Sport from a Canadian Service Centre

Thanks, I'm assuming he is giving some type of guarantee. I called a place in the west end, but they only do powder coating. For the curb rash they gave the name of another place, but I wanted a one shop solution. In case of chipping I didn't want the shop blaming it on the other shop's work.

Where are you getting the rims powder coated? I have the same 21" rims I need to get rid of curb rash and was thinking of changing the colour at the same time.

We're doing the same trip on the long weekend. I've made the trip twice to Toronto without stopping taking highway 7 to the Best Western in Markham. This time we'll be heading to the Lawrence St Super Charger.

    Canadian Superchargers

Is that assuming there will be a SpC at the new store in Montreal? If that's the case, they should place one in Ottawa which is 200 km away at the new Tanger Factory Outlets, close to the Canadian Tire Centre, and the Kanata Auto Park. That would be great marketing where prospective car buyers...

Interested in 3rd row seat ventilation?

The low tech trick I've been using is to keep an eye on my kid's hair in the rear view mirror, then roll both rear windows down until I see hair on the top of their heads fly around. Usually is about 1 1/2" to 2" rolled down. Not ideal, but I did a 1200km road trip with no complaints. Tinting...

Canadian Import Restriction - USA into Canada of Model S

Canadian Import Restriction - USA into Canada of Model S

That was my understanding as well, the import duty and currency were the two reasons for the price difference in Canada. Compared to other manufactures, the price difference between Canada and US is very reasonable.

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 vs Pilot Super Sport - Opinions Please

I don't have any answers to questions you pose, but I just wanted to also chime in on how disappointed I am in the PS2 tires. I had all four tires replaced at the Tesla Service Center 3 weeks ago and have noticed the bulge on 2 of the 4 tires.

Tires from Ottawa or online in Canada

I'd be interested as well in this info. I just replaced all four of mine while it was in the service centre for the 12v replacement and annual service. I was surprised to hear that the rear wheels were 'not safe to leave the service centre' after only 20k of driving.

    Model S sightings in Ontario

Yea, I didn't drive mine in the winter because I didn't get the winter tires and had a Touareg. I've since sold the Touareg. Good thing too with the crazy gas prices plus the requirement for supreme. I'm seeing alot more as well. Just saw a white one parked on Lapperiere last week, and a black...
