didnt any of you learn to park using a 2 speed kingswood with no passenger side mirror? Maybe it had camera’s and screens…not sure. Too late to check now.

yes thats my method as well
but stilla slight risk with the MY because turning circle is reduces and the rims sit proud of the tyreI had a 3 speed HondaMatic
But back in those days the rims were 14in with taller tyres. Kerb rash rare. A lot of streets didn't have kerbs either
Except that it doesn’t work. Next time you reverse, it goes to the factory default tilt position, not the one you set.
I learnt in a 4-speed Corona with no passenger side mirror, but it had steel wheels so bumping them on the gutter wouldn't have mattered much.
As far as I remember the manual doesn't last this as a feature on the 3/Y. The ability to adjust the dip is only on the S&X. I really don't understand why they would make that a flagship vehicle feature.

Probably residual feature from leftover Mercedes parts. I wonder if the refresh S/X have it still?
I too thought is saved but every time now it's looking too far down. I'd prefer to have settings than a view of the pavement .. it's different for 6' people vs 5'. My old cars had save-able setting for reverse as well as non-reverse. Of course they also had HomeLink (since 1986) so I could open the garage door.
Hi, I was the thread starter and it worried me that I couldn't see the rear left wheel when reverse parking (in Aus). I'm not sure if you're aware that the problem has been partially fixed (to my satisfaction anyway) by the fact that when selecting reverse, two smaller views appear under the reversing camera view. This clearly shows the gutter and rear wheel position when parking.
Interestingly enough, I've only just realised the same issue coming across this thread.
My mirrors don't auto tilt down when shifting in reverse either.
Doing a quick search of the MY manual, it shows the functionality is available

It does work but won't save in a low enough position to be of assistance when reverse parking.
