Looks like it would be really easy to move that up away from the floor...a good idea anyway. If you did have a washer and dryer there. You wouldn't want a flood to get into the outlet.

Yes. Nowadays, you'll typically find these receptacles at 48" above floor.

This house has a daylight basement & 1/2 of each basement wall is wood (above ground) & 1/2 of the wall below ground is concrete. This dryer plug sits at the bottom of the wood portion of the wall & is situated about 4' off the basement floor.
