Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
And there are probably too many Superchargers near me. All of the red circles on this map are within 80 miles of my house. (I didn't even include the hundreds of Superchargers in the NYC area). Perhaps Elon thinks a new Supercharger team will be more efficient.
It's in the manual...

We rented this Model S from Turo last May for the 405-mile range, to drive from Vegas to 3 of the Utah national parks. We stayed at 2 hotels with destination chargers, so we had no range anxiety driving through the desert. Here we are at Capitol Reef...
It depends on the particular ESG fund. I hold some ESGV, which is a Vanguard fund indexed to the FTSE US All Cap Choice Index. TSLA is its 7th biggest holding.
I disagree with this. I don't believe Tesla is done ramping Model Y production in Berlin or Texas. "Labor issues" will not stop growth in Berlin for an entire year. CT ramp and small car design will not stop Model Y growth in Texas.
It looks like they changed the wording since that Electrek story. Now it says "All new Model Y vehicles currently qualify for a federal tax credit for eligible buyers. Take delivery by Dec 31 for full $7,500 tax credit".
That's for the whole year through September, not just the 3rd quarter.
"But through the first nine months of 2023, a surprising rival took second. The Tesla Model Y narrowly won the silver."
There is one coming to upstate New York soon. Tesla is currently allowed only 5 sales locations in NYS, and they are all in the NYC area.

I just got the buy signal on my phone. (US only)
Edit: Maybe it was just this...

My inventory Model 3 had a $2400 "price adjustment". That plus FSD transfer plus $7500 tax credit plus keeping stalks pulled my sale forward, instead of waiting for the Highland refresh.
I traded in my 2018 Model 3 for a 2023, to take advantage of the FSD transfer and $7500 tax credit, and picked up the new car today at Mt Kisco NY. It was very busy there.
I originally chose an "inventory" car supposedly on its way to Mt Kisco last Tuesday the 19th, but a sales advisor called...
FYI ETrade/Morgan Stanley's explanation of my margin call (market movement and the high concentration of TSLA in my account) was not satisfactory.
I see now the actual explanation was Morgan Stanley was loading up on TSLA before the upgrade last night by Morgan Stanley.
Edit: My margin call is...
Morgan Stanley? They completed their takeover of ETrade over the weekend, and I got a margin call this morning. I had plenty of available margin yesterday. Did this happen to anyone else?
I have messaged "ETrade from Morgan Stanley" for an explanation.
Exactly. All this talk of battery replacement cost is just anti-ev FUD. People here should know better. I have a 2018 Model 3. The battery has an 8-year warranty. If it needed to be replaced it would cost me $0.

@Featsbeyond50 is probably thinking of this quote from the annual shareholders meeting in May, not the Q2 earnings call...

"Tesla Electric customers in Texas are reporting making as much as $150 a day during the heat waves as Tesla’s virtual power plant is coming together with over 6MW of power."
Just to clarify, the new free color option "Midnight Silver" is gray, not silver. I have a "Silver Metallic" 2018 Model 3, which is silver. Tesla does not offer that color anymore.
We just stopped at the Superchargers with Magic Dock in Verona NY. There are 12 Superchargers. There was one other Tesla there and no other cars. There is definitely plenty of room for more utilization in Upstate NY.

The original post by @Papafox said BlackRock asked his friend to write covered calls. Therefore BlackRock wanted to buy calls from the friend... a bullish bet.
(Yes, this implies that the friend is holding tens of millions of dollars of TSLA).
FYI not all ESG is created equal. That is specifically S&P Global Ratings.
I hold some ESGV, a Vanguard index fund. It tracks the FTSE US All Cap Choice Index. TSLA is their #8 holding and they do not hold tobacco companies. Top 10 holdings:
That bearish post (your own) that you quoted was from January 5th, when TSLA closed at $110. Good timing.
Is today's post another buy signal?
Thanks for clarifying I was talking about QOQ.
However, I disagree that the drop has anything to do with electricity prices or interest rates. Those factors are not unique to the UK. I believe it is mainly a production/logistics issue getting the vehicles from China to the UK, along with some...
Thanks, but my question, and the post I was responding to, were about QOQ deliveries in the UK. Your response is about YOY.
Q1 2023 13,355
Q4 2022 22,404
In the post I responded to, @Todd Burch estimated 4,203 for Q1 2023. He obviously underestimated March deliveries; it seems like the wave...
