Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

My understanding is that the SEC suit was a regulatory enforcement action by the SEC and not on behalf of actual shareholders. It wasn’t a class action suit.

    Tesla JPM warrants dispute

My hat's off to you @bhzmark for tackling this. This is indeed an interesting dispute but it is way over my head. I'll check back every now and then to see your progress. I ended up poking pencils into my eyes before I got through your two posts.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The point of my post was not about finding a place with ev charging. I found that easy enough on the Tesla web site. I was simply trying to give folks a heads up that even though the hotel confirmed it had a Tesla Destination charger, it wasn't helpful because it only charged at 12 amps.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I am currently on a 6,000 mile road trip. In the first week I used Tesla's site to find a hotel with a destination charger in Liberal, Kansas to bridge the supercharger gap between Clayton, New Mexico and Wichita, Kansas. Before I left on the trip I called the hotel to verify that they had a...

Those links make it sound like EV chargers have made it to the national parks. I just spent 4 days in Great Basin National Park and there are none there. Ely Nevada is the closest town of any size - 70 miles away - and there is no supercharger in Ely. As a result, I spent a total of 7-8 hours...

    All discussion of Lucid Motors

Ha! It didn't occur to me to check it out. I may do that the next time I'm out that way. But here is a 2/28/2021 video that actually surprised me a bit. I think subconsciously I have dismissed them from being real.

    All discussion of Lucid Motors

For what it is worth, I took a drive out to the Lucid factory today. I think it was about 6 months ago that I was last there. It really looks finished now. There is a nice entrance off of Thornton Road and at 3:15 pm it looked like about 300 cars in the parking lot. The parking lot had a section...

Model Y Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (LR RWD)

And to finish off this conversation with myself, I replied to the above text, saying that I prefer to hold off for the LR RWD and asked if they had any idea when it would be available. Response: "We are still waiting for more specific info on that but we will definitely let you know once we...

OK, here is a bit of closure on the text I received. I got my heads-up from @AlMc in early September. It was trading at approx. $16 then. I bought a bit but later sold half for a small loss because I didn't think it was ever going to amount to anything. Was prepared to sell the other half but it keeps going up.

Should I get a key fob

It may depend on what kind of phone you have. When I first got my 3 two years ago I had a Motorola Moto G phone. It didn't work well as a key for the car. My wife's iphone worked fine. I eventually gave up on the Moto G as key and went strictly with the key card. I was pretty happy with that...

    Supercharger - Kingman, AZ

Even though Kingman isn't my favorite supercharger, it isn't so bad that I wouldn't do the trip. I make the Phoenix to Vegas trip 4-6 times a year. I have only had to wait one time, and that was for a short period. My last trip was at Christmas. On Christmas day we got there fairly early and...

    Lucid Air base price $52500

Drove out to the factory site again yesterday, 12/22/2019. They have made some progress since November 8, but they better get a wiggle on if they want to start producing cars here in late 2020. Looks like some trusses are being stored on site.

    Thanksgiving 2019 Supercharger lines?

Kingman supercharger wasn't too bad. Was there around 9 am and even though all 6 slots were full, I didn't have to wait. Got to Vegas and went to the High Roller. The app said 11 of 24 stalls were available. Of the 11 available, there were only 4-5 people charging. When we left at about 10:45 am...

    Lucid Air base price $52500

Rotated my tires today and always looking for an excuse to take a drive, decided to drive out to Casa Grande to see the Lucid factory site. It is big. There was quite a bit of activity. Supercharger - Kingman, AZ

I make the trip from Phx to Vegas 4-5 times per year and Kingman is my least favorite supercharger. Sound of bird hitting a window - but no contact

I wonder if there are two different noises. I have one noise that I call the bird strike. It does make me jump as it sounds like something just hit my car. It is like a small explosion. After this noise manifested, I started to hear another one that sounded more like the "TeslaBjorn thunk" when...

Sound of bird hitting a window - but no contact

I listened to the sound that TeslaBjorn recorded and that someone posted above. The sound I'm hearing is MUCH louder and sounds like it comes from above. It is possible that it is a noise that is generated at the floor and "sounds" like it is coming from above. I have previously driven in high...

Sound of bird hitting a window - but no contact

At the risk of carrying on a conversation with myself, here is another update. I just received a call from Bellevue Service (even though I am now in Southern Utah, on my way home). I had a long conversation with a very nice woman who first explained that they did not put 180 (the invoice...

Well, this is disappointing. Tonight I received an invoice from Tesla (paid in full...

Sound of bird hitting a window - but no contact

Today I stopped in at the Bellevue Service Center and described the problem. At first the guy thought I had an X and he was ambivalent about whether he could help. Sound of bird hitting a window - but no contact

Thank you for the reply. I am a couple hundred miles from the closest SC, so I will call them this morning. Interestingly though, when I opened the driver side door this morning I heard a "pop" sound and then a thunk, which sounded like it came from the floor area. Both of those sounds are...

Sound of bird hitting a window - but no contact

I am currently on a road trip from Phoenix to Vancouver, BC. On the afternoon of day 3, in Idaho, at about 80 mph, we heard a loud sound that sounded just like a bird slamming into a window. We thought something fell on our glass roof, but there was no contact. It was very unnerving. We...
