    I-Pace vs P3D

I’d argue that the best feature of the M3 its drivetrain. The rest - “engineering gone wild”
  2. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

No, I prefer my regular $30 dollars juicer to a $400 over engineered buttonless piece of crap that cannot make juice properly, but has an iPhone app ;) P.S. If I need to choose a device just for calls I’d buy a flip phone with numeric keypad in a heartbeat. Are you using your Tesla to watch...

    I-Pace vs P3D

Button-heavy? What are you talking about? I-Pace has 4 more buttons plus transmission button and start/stop (you know, to avoid that vampire battery discharge)
  4. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

    Better then my Juicero ;).

Tesla should offer the dash cam as a freemium feature.

As much as Cadillac would charge for theirs factory dash cam. I cannot find a number, but I doubt it will be more expensive then $250.
  6. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Let me correct myself - with normal car interior.
  7. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

And it had a decent Bluetooth integration unlike some competition ;)
  8. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

It’s because nobody got an idea to put everything under control of the single touch interface yet.

    I-Pace vs P3D

Check it out! Fanboiz patrol on a loose:)

    I-Pace vs P3D

It is a bit laggy but definitely not in seconds range. On other hand, try to compare how long will it take Tesla owner to change the temperature vs I-pace even with laggy media interface.
  11. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

In real life I-Pace looks more like a tall hatchback like BMW i3 then an SUV.
  12. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

I completely disagree with you on I-Pace positioning, but thank you for your post. In my test drive experience the idea that the interface of the car should be reduced to an iPad-like experience is completely flawed.
  13. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

No, the purpose of the thread to gather more opinions about I-Pace as a direct competition to the performance version of M3. Do you agree, that competition is good for us, Tesla customers. P.S. And, of course, as usual, to enumerate fanboys.

    I-Pace vs P3D

Normal experience for me: Ability to enable windshield whippers from the stearing column or see the turning signal is on, somewhere in front of me. Or even better, to see a blind spot warning on the mirror where I’m actually looking while changing lane. How much would it cost Tesla to do it...

    I-Pace vs P3D

I will get some extra car for the extra $30k too. For example AWD and HUD and adjustable suspension. But about $5k would go into the brand avoidance :). What is wrong with that? I do believe that the vertical integration in general and direct sales only model are flawed. Is it wrong for me to...

    I-Pace vs P3D

Jaguar initial quality metrics - 150 issues reported per 100 cars over first 90 days. It’s about 50% worst than average. Tesla initial quality - decided to not participate (to save the chart from reaping I guess)
  17. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

I 100% agree. Model X is and likely Model S too is bigger, more capable and more expensive.
  18. C

Tesla customer service is the WORST - esp Costa Mesa

And you will get the most amazing and useless apology email.
  19. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

    1. Autopilot - Auto lane change and overtaking is cool (except this story with 101->85 exit). The rest is either called TACC with lane assist and available or some beta feature you are testing with your life. I hope you are aware the Tesla's "autopilot" is not a #1. 2. Navigation - Jag could do...
  20. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Agree Jag has a big question mark next to the battery and drivetrain. On other hand Tesla has a huge question mark next to everything except battery and drivetrain. My experience is quite opposite.
  21. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

OK. I asked about markups because this is a deal-breaker for me too. In fact I was asking two questions: 1. Should I expect markups. Answer was either don't know or Jaguar is not allowing it. 2. Availability and delivery timeframe. Answer was Bay Area has enough allocation, I should expect...

    I-Pace vs P3D

Great post. Thank you. Except I was driving EVs for over 7 years by now. :)
  23. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

    That’s some high quality fanboism.
  24. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Please, do me a huge favor. Read my response #49 on page 3.

    I-Pace vs P3D

Don't worry, if Tesla will deliver on promises, you will experience this problem too
  26. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Nissan didn't but I had no issues with them, VW did'n but I had no issues with the car too. BMW - same story except they were selling EVs for a couple of years by the time I've bought mine. Tesla - I'm not sure they have experience in SELLING cars or anything whatsoever. Making ... will see...
  27. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Good post. One thing you, probably, got wrong - I-Pace didn't strike me as an SUV/SAV at all. It's rather a tall sedan. In fact it's 1 inch lower then BMW i3
  28. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

More "traditional" car interior, better selection of options, very likely a better customer service and a lack of necessity to visit a service center in a week after the car is delivered. The difference between P3D is 5-7K
  29. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Did you see parking lots in BA lately? It' almost like that pictures from the Tesla factory lot :). Considering there are about 4 colors now - do the math.
  30. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

I'd choose IX3 over the I-Pace or M3 in a heartbeat. So far my experience with BMWs the BMW dealerships was excellent. However it's not available yet, and I need a new car worst case early next year.
  31. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Equally important. Point is, though, industry-wide standard is better then a proprietary solution. But I'm repeating myself...

    I-Pace vs P3D

Have no clue. Over 200 miles. Yesterday and today till 6PM :)
  33. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Let me quote myself - "Ok, I’m not chasing Performance edition or even AWD, but if you are". I have a reservation for a very basic LR for 50K. At this moment, Tesla needs just a little bit of effort to already made one to piss me off enough so I will spend extra 30K just to avoid buying Tesla.
  34. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Based on real life observation - M3 and i-Pace are about the same. Price-wise I-Pase is comparable to P3D. Why should I care? The difference is a cent or two per mile. True By a very thin and impractical margin. Both cars are not build for the track. I wander would P3D be able to complete a...

Free supercharging in a walking distance from my office - yes. Free supercharging in the middle of US - no
  36. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Sure. When will it be reflected in the insurance rates?
  37. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Yes. This concerns me a lot. M3 on other hand - don't get me started....
  38. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Was not a problem for Nissan Leaf when I bought it in 2011. Why do you assume the people, who are working in the dealerships are ignorant? They may be dishonest, but rarely ignorant. Great! I'm not sure it's a plus at all. False. I-Pace has over-the-air upgrade capability for the infotainment...

    I-Pace vs P3D

I don't understand the reason for the long range driving. This is correct. Now, speaking about Bolt - it has a similar to Tesla cars problem - great drive train with so-so car body on top. On a plus side for Tesla - their cars looks better than Bolt, no doubt
  40. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

I have reservation for M3 and now considering Jag. So, it's Tesla peeps trolling Tesla fanboys.
  41. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

My configuration was topping 80k, but I believe 75k is doable too
  42. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

And it a car, not a computer on wheels... sad ;)
  43. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

It has normal car experience, HUD, adjustable suspension and amazing seats (actually 2 different types, but both are great)
  44. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

  45. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

I’ve been in both cars and whitenessinng a lot of fallouts of delivery hell. I’m not sure Jag will struggle....

    I-Pace vs P3D

Atari games are definitely a tiebreaker. Efficiency difference - are we talking about 1 cents per mile, I guess?
  47. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

I will and it will take me about 6-7 hours. :) Because I will take a plane and rent Tesla at destination
  48. C

    I-Pace vs P3D

Please, please, don’t bring the supercharging network to this. I’m driving in the car every day, yet I’m charging on a public charger maybe once per year. And I’m not an exception... :) By the way, try to charge your M3 on a free fast charger provided by my company ;)

    I-Pace vs P3D

Just got off the I-Pace event in San Mateo and have a question. Ok, I’m not chasing Performance edition or even AWD, but if you are, why I-Pace is not a viable option at almost similar price point? Normal car with likely a better assembly quality, with bunch of options to customize, with a bunch...
