    Dunno much about pneumatics. I was imagining 2-3 feet for the pipes. That would make for a large volume altogether.

    EDIT: Probably would have to be much larger than that, for the air movement in the pipes not to cause too much friction with the walls of the pipe.

    Sounds interesting. Maybe it could be like water tubes in amusement parks with straight, twisty and ultra twisty depending on your mood.

    I have also been into this in the UK - unfortunately the politicians wern't and rejected for an overpriced and unnecessary conventional option

    In his fireside chat Mr Musk mentioned the hyperloop. When the interviewer suggested something like the Jetsons, he agreed it was something like that. So people are presuming it would be an enclosed tube using a combination of pressure and low friction to allow for rapid transportation.
