Vampire drain while plugged in normal?

When I leave my S plugged in without driving for a couple of days the rated miles very slowly decrease during that time.

Is that normal?

It only goes down a few miles during that time but it seems like if one leaves the car plugged in the battery would be kept topped off.

Yes, it's normal. The car will recharge the battery after it has decreased a bit, and top it off.

Vampire drain refers to huge drain of the battery and not just few miles... Few miles decreasing over time is normal.

I noticed that as well. For some reason the car is not topped off every 24 hours, but there is a certain threshold of lost charge before it tops off again.
