at around 5 sec in the video above, it looks like the front windshield extends right into the roof with no visable headliner break. you can also see form the exterior in the video below at around 30 sec.

Edit: Without a
cross membrane between the A pillars.

You mean just like the concept/prototype version did? Say it isn't so! ;-)

yeah! But it looks like there is no cross membrane between the A pillars. Which is quite strange as the structural integrity will be compromised.. Looks like there is the forward facing camera and rear view mirror and a cables running in the middle of glass roof.

To Grainy to make out really good detail but would make a spectacular view. Wonder how you solve the sun issue.

True and my apologies for the smartalec response. This isn't news though as many mules have shown this "no cross beam" design. It will be quite interesting to see how it turns out!

Cheers!

No worries! Hmm why haven't Ive seen them:p I like that so many of the ppl sitting here are so involved that you will get challenged all the time.. If you could redirect me to some pics where its shown i would be greatly thankful.

Check the mule thread. Quite a few in there. Yes, it's kinda long but shouldn't be too bad if you're just looking at the pictures.

There are really only a few that give us glimpses of the missing front crossbeam though.

This is something we've been predicting for a while in the mule thread, and a lot of the recent pictures seem to support it.

I don't think it'll cost too much structurally - they have to be building a sturdy H truss out of the B/C pillars and cross connect to support the FW doors - that can easily be the main rollover protection with reinforced A pillars tying in to it.

At this point, I'm expecting a monopod design inside - a ceiling console extending forward to the rear view mirror area in the center of the car covering all the wiring and carrying the interior lights, but we'll see (eventually, if they finally get around to it.)

That huge and impossible sightings thread is one reason we keep talking the same topics over and over again.

One reason I've tried to maintain separate Model X watch threads is exactly so that we could find something later. Too bad it never caught wider popularity, the huge sightings thread is impossible to search.

I know it is not very popular, but to help here is a link that shows old March interior shots with missing cross-beam:

Inside the Model X mule - Looking closely...

I'm sure there were other threads about this as well.

And the concept version which I made based on this:

[Concept] Model X image without nose-cone and A pillar cross-beam

Finally, the September 2014 leakster leaked a CAD (now pulled on TMC) that showed no cross-beam and windshield extending into falcon wings.
