Elon posted the new seats and said:I wouldn't be surprised if the X doesn't get them. Pretty different markets for the S Plaid and X Plaid.
I doubt the provide more comfort with the unadjustable elongated headrest and slimmer profile.I completely disagree they look like any high end “performance sedan” seats. Not “sports car” seats. Further this car needs more supportive seating it is literally one of the quickest moving objects on any roadway. The bolsters look quite mild, as do the seat bottoms. Odds are they are same comfort/more comfortable. Great job Tesla now let’s confirm it’s for the X too, add some new lighting and comfort treats and we’re cooking!
Bolsters more useful when cornering IMO. And cornering in an x is terrifying… and not in the good wayElon posted the new seats and said:
“The Model S & X Plaid (meaning, beyond ludicrous speed) are sublime”
I don’t see why the X wouldn’t get them. A 9sec 1/4 mile SUV surely could use a bit more bolster support right?

Well guys. I am passing on my third Plaid. I just bought another Porsche 992 C4S instead. I'm sure I will be back in a Roadster or another Plaid if they actually make it better in the future.
The Plaids need more luxury items and working RADAR!! Tesla is going down market with all their cars. I understand that's how they make money but that's not what I'm looking for personally. My wife loves her YP and I'm happy we still have a Tesla in the family.
Obviously we need to see them in person but those new seats don’t look any more supportive than the current seats. Looks like a visual upgrade.
I retrofitted the new wheel and called it a day. What are the owners of the older Refresh models doing?
I kind of feel the same way, but ordered anyway.I don't wait for HW5, but I want the higher price MS having at least the features of the cheaper M3... If I would take delivery now, I feel like that this (ambient lightning, lane departure warning led, maybe front bumper camera...) could come the next day around the corner and I own a old car... Tesla never refused that this will come (as they did for Juniper for US in 2024)
