By law, the only way an aftermarket part can void warranty is if the part itself directly caused the problem. So in this case, about the only way this could have any effect on warranty is if you were claiming warranty on a nosecone defect...

Can't tell from either pic, but is this a piece that simply snaps onto the nosecone, or does it replace the nosecone? From the Instagram pic, it looks to have been integrated with the whole fascia . . .

I'd like the ability to take it off, put it back on, depending on the mood.

I like it too. I do agree it is a little too shiny but then again I like the blacked out look for the rest of the chrome on the car as well. Much better than the nose cone.

Why the chicken wire mesh? It's so Range Rover and totally conventional and unimaginative. it also looks kinds of cheap and would be better for an off-road vehicle. Something a bit more elegant would be much better. Something along these lines:

But, I have to admit, I hate the look. Too much bling, especially on the dark car. Why would I want a fake grill?

Painting or CF make sense because they can support a theme on the car (i.e. matching/complimentary paint, or other CF trim).

The grill look, to me, just looks tacky.

That was my first thought too. Once the bugs get trapped, it will be hard to clean.

Since you are asking for opinions, I will say that this is particularly unattractive. Your wheels are really nice -- this, no. In my opinion, this takes away one of the few stylistic features that makes the Model S separate from virtually every other car out there, which is the lack of a grill.
