I was just thinking that if the X has side and front cameras and a 360 surround view that the software is already in place. Notice all that unused grey space around the car in parking sensor view mode (FW 6.1):

In all fairness, it would seem autonews.com has no basis to make claims of the magnitude (or lack thereof) of the changes in Model X production version - other than the same mule shots they probably haven't even dissected on the level we at TMC have. And we know we don't know it all.

I wouldn't put any value on that article.
