The oil is only on the sidewalls & so little has been used, especially relative to the tyre width that I can't see how this could spread & then remain on the tread after even a short drive.
At 63 I'm also a very careful wet weather driver (grandfather... not grand prix), I also don't plan on doing this through the winter as the car is likely to be grubby soon after every wash.
Looks fabulous. The tyres in particular!4,200m wash, wax, polish, Rain-X on glass & silicone oil on tyre sidewalls to bring everything back 'as new'
Thanks - if you look carefully at the sills you can just see 100mm PPF strip that I applied the day after I got the car (along with the mud flaps).Looks fabulous. The tyres in particular!
Looks great! What seat covers have you gone with -- from that photo they are imperceptible to me?!Seat covers, shiny pedals and centre console covers (not wraps)....

Can't tell if it's the gel plates (rather nice) or the accented logo. Or both!Spot the difference....View attachment 591776
I'd say those but also the spoiler looks a different colour though it could be the way the light is.Can't tell if it's the gel plates (rather nice) or the accented logo. Or both!
Thank you, the number plate is subtle but goes well with the car. It’s not the logo as have had that done a while. Can't tell if it's the gel plates (rather nice) or the accented logo. Or both!
Close, but the boot spoiler is originalI'd say those but also the spoiler looks a different colour though it could be the way the light is.
Just had another look, have you put a carbon look lip at the bottom of the rear glass, is it to stop water running into the boot?Spot the difference....View attachment 591776
Yes spot on. Thought I’d give it a go. It does look fairly discreet but unfortunately only improves the water into the boot issue by about 50%.Just had another look, have you put a carbon look lip at the bottom of the rear glass, is it to stop water running into the boot?
Thanks. They are the Taptes Nappa covers and I was pleasantly surprised by their quality and fit. I only went with the front covers as I don’t often have a car full. You probably can’t see clearly from my photo, but the outer part is similar to the design of the actual seats, however the centre panels are perforated - I guess to help with the seat heating - but to my eye this isn’t a problem. The installation instructions are hopeless, but YouTube came to the rescue! You also get a cover for the centre armrest/cubbyhole lid, but the fit of this is a bit naff!Looks great! What seat covers have you gone with -- from that photo they are imperceptible to me?!
