Ventilated seats in Model X- self contained or piped into the HVAC system?

How tolerable is the motor noise?? Any Vibrations?? Good to know the flow is subtle.

The noise level is high enough that my DS mentioned it to me as I first turned it on during delivery. It is low enough that radio music should mask it. I don't feel any vibrations with the music off. These tests were done in a quiet garage.

When the seat fan is at the highest level 3 setting, the sound is similar to the main heat/AC at fan level 6. However, the seat fans run at a higher frequency, so this comparison is IMHO. At seat fan speed 2 it is about half the volume and at level 1 it is hardly perceptible.
