A Tesla gen 3 charger is £470 and a pen fault box is about £130 = £600 parts plus labour and cables breaker parts, etc. You would normally end up around £1,000 depending upon difficulty...

Seams on the high side to me it’s less than 10 metres to the consumer unit but picked up a used gen 3 for £50 so I suppose £725 all in can’t grumble
It does include all o pen stuff apparently

I just had Octopus install Ohme Charger - They are discrete, and works very well with Intelligent Octopus - it is "very smart" in the way it schedules and even varies the power automatically - So it doesn't just pump our 7KW max all the time.

Also Octopus install a Surge Protector worth £150 for free as they are your electricity supplier.

So when you add it all up it is great value for money.

They Octopus engineers were amazing - super professional and very smart job.

I used H2Eco in Poole and couldnt recommend them enough. Had the Tesla Gen 3 charger installed, with an Matt-E earthing box. When discussed for the quote i wanted the Matt-E box outside as we didnt have much space inside, however the installer siad it shouldnt be a problem so installed inside with the expectation of putting a cupboard to contain all the electric boxes (Fuse panel, Solar E-stop, Solar export meter, Matt-E) however it hummed so loud we had to turn it off during the day, so i got them to come back and move it outside anyway. They also do Powerwalls, solar installs and heat pumps.

All in came to £636 for the install, and £475 for the charger. It was better this way than any other chargers, and i wasnt fussed out solar use as i export most of the time, and if i do want to use solar i adjust the levels manually to match the charge rate to solar generation.

How does it do it? I am just curious wondering whether I can reduce the power manually to 3kw or may be 10amp in Tesla app?
