Trunk Opening Height

I would like Tesla to make a change to the Trunk opening height. When I am home I adjust the height so it doesn't hit the garage door. When I am out of the garage the opening height should reset to max. This would help when I am loading items with the trunk at max opening height.

Sorry - my first post on this forum and it sounds 'snarky'....

When the door opens, keep your hand on it and just stop it where you want it to stop opening.
It will stop moving at that point.

Hold the close button in until it beeps at you.
It should now remember that as the position it stops at from now on.

Ah - just re-read your post. My profuse apologies...

You want a 'home' opening height and a 'elsewhere' opening height.
Hmm - could be useful.

How does it know what when it is outside your garage and not in some other garage?

The Model X had significant issues with this and had to add all sorts of sensor to keep from banging it all over the place.
