The 'sourcing parts' line showed up in the email I got today (for an S85D order), but not on My Tesla.

Another question: I have no My Documents section on the My Dashboard page. Is it just because there are no documents for me to look over yet, or am I missing something?

This is what I see when I scroll half way down the My Tesla page:

Hey Stevezzzz, it's not so obvious, took me several mouse clicks to find it.

When in "My Tesla" click on the "View Profile" button for the car of interest. Then go to the bottom of that page and you will see "My Documents" under "Documents."

I think the difference is that Stevezzz and I have multiple Teslas so we have to drill down a level...

From the My Tesla Page where you see your vehicle you have to hit View Profile. From that page you should see the My Documents when you scroll down the page.

Yeah that's what I figured, I think they got rid of the message on My Tesla that said "We have begun sourcing parts for your order".

The possible messages are now:

1. Order Pending: Your Model S will be confirmed on <date 14 days after order>. Once confirmed, we'll begin sourcing parts and building your Model S
2. Order Confirmed: Your Model S has entered the production queue at our factory in Fremont California.
3. In Production: The Tesla Factory is building your Model S
4. Production Complete: Your Model S is being prepared for pickup or delivery
5. Production Complete: Your Model S is in transit from the factory
Most of us are at step 2 now, and from what I understand steps 3-5 can happen very quickly - matter of days.

Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing message #3! Then we can fill out the "Entered production" column of Andrew's spreadsheet.

First post here  Just confirmed my order for a P85D  Black on Gray, nextgen seats, tech pkg and 19" wheels. Placed deposit on 11/4 and confirmed the order on 11/12. MyTesla shows December delivery; Sales advisor gave me a Mid December estimate (still shows December delivery on the new configurator as of 11/13)... Here comes the waiting game, we'll see if it will be a pre or post Christmas gift to myself

Congrats, and welcome to TMC.

I just wish "someone" would actually enter production already. At least then we know that yes, we all are waiting, but there is movement at the front of the line.

Frim what my DS has said, the earliest this will happen is the 3rd-4th week of Nov. Based on the earliest projected delivery dates on the spread sheet, I'd say that timeline makes sense.

But, yeah. I can't wait to see someone go into production as well!

Interesting that no one in chicago region has gotten any estimated delivery dates yet, and DS said it is still late December.

Woohoo! Just got the VIN number today. But a bit of a bad news, for the first time, the production estimate said "Late December" instead of "December." Means I'm stuck close to home late in the month. Which isn't a bad thing, right?

One question - for those who have taken deliveries (not necessarily the D), how late do the "delay notifications" get sent? Will you literally know a week before the estimate delivery that the car is delayed, or will they give notices 2,4,6 weeks out? Given the fact that they're trying to ramp up production AND implement new models AND a new car, estimations might be like catching a falling knife... Plus lets not forget the "incentives" for telling perspective buyers early estimate, and then delayed it after you get the deposit

I just got a somewhat cryptic email from Tesla:

Hello Marc,

We look forward to you becoming a Tesla owner and we want your Model S to be built exactly as you like. We have reconfigured your Model S based on your request. On your MyTesla Account, you can find your finalized Delivery Configuration confirming the changes that you have requested. This can be found on your MyTesla Dashboard under "My Documents".

These changes will impact the options installed on your vehicle as well as the final price. They will be reflected on the final Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement that you receive when you take delivery of your Model S. The Tesla specialist who requested these changes is carbon copied on this email. If you have any concerns or questions about these changes, or if you believe you have received this message in error, please feel free to contact them directly.

Thank you

I have not made any changes since I confirmed my order on 10/29, so I have no idea what this is about. I don't even know who either the person who sent it or the "carbon copied" person in the email are.

Looking at My Tesla's dashboard, I do see a new document labeled "Delivery Configuration" below the "Model S Order Agreement" (which is the MVPA) that was updated yesterday.
When I open this "Delivery Configuration" document, it is actually titled "Vehicle Configuration" and has almost the same information as the MVPA except it also includes no-cost items such as fog lamps, parcel shelf, Primacy tire upgrade, etc.
And by the way, my Delivery Specialist did email me this document exactly a week ago, and it looks identical to the one that's now in My Documents.

Has anyone else received such emails or new documents in their dashboard?

(PS: my status still says "Order Confirmed", entered production queue blah blah..)
