So, I wanted to apply for a job at Tesla for a while, but being a bit of a procrastinator and having a new born baby girl, I didn't last year.
Well, yesterday, given a new position opening for a Product Specialist, and being obsessied about tech, about the S and the company, I took the time to go to the Aix en Provence Service Center, and see if I can nail an interview with the store manager.
I already took a test drive yesteryear at the same Service Center, and all went great, loved every minute of it, btw I drove a Pearl White P85, and for driving a 105 k€ electric car saying that I was impressed would be an understatement.
At arrival I saw from afar a beautiful MC Red with a light interior and casual 19" wheels, that looked gorgeous. Since I didn't want to lose too much time sightseeing, I skipped the oggling and went into the store to see the manager. He was busy showing off the naked chassis to a client, but took the time to say hi and introduce himself. Damien told me to wait for a colleague that would interview me, so I jumped on the opportunity to see more of the interior of the store, take a deeper look at the chassis, and play with the different choices the Design Studio offered.
While in store I talked to another specialist and had the pleasure to have a chat with James, the president of TMC France, and owner a of Pearl White P85, and he had lots of feedback to give on the use of the car and the Superchargers the last one year and a half.
I want to also congratulate the owner of a new Gray P85D that took possession yesterday morning, it was great to see a live delivery and the look of eagerness when entering the store was impressive, must be the same for all of you that ordered your Roadsters and S's.
After an hour or so of time well spent taking it all in, Damien said that his colleague would not be present today, and he was not going to to be able to slip me into his already busy schedule, So I gave him my résumé he gave me his card and was time to say goodbye.
Outside though, I took the time to take a look at the MC RED, I'll call her Cheryl. She's an S85, pre autopilot, with 19" wheels, tan interior and cloth, pano roof, and Cheryl looked stunning. After my first test drive, I enjoyed more the black leather performance seats with the red piping and the black interior, but man, Cheryl looked so great in tan that if I ever order an S I'll go for tan with white or black alcantara and obeche wood.
I would love to thank the staff and the Elon to the Musk for creating a company with such a great product and vision.
