I asked they guy who delivered my 70D a couple of days ago about the supercharger network. He said he couldn't give me any details but he said "we are on schedule to finish connecting Brisbane by the end of 2016."

He couldn't tell me which one was going up next though. Very secretive these Tesla guys. BUT, apparently, if you are a share holder of Tesla you can get the info. So, any share holders in the house? :)

Haha, I think the delivery guy is pulling your legs. Been shareholder does not give us any privilege to advanced infos. I have couple of shares in TSLA but more as moral support for Elon and his big ideas. To be honest, Tesla has some serious management issues at the moment and I would NOT recommend anybody to buy their shares at these level for capital gains.

However I am also pretty confident that we can all drive from Brisbane to Melbourne with SuperCharger by end of 2016. Even with the lowly S60. So your 70D is a sure winner here.

I've heard a site in Heatherbrae near Newcastle has been confirmed. Sorry if this is old news...

Was that from this article from October 2015? Tesla Supercharger network: Australian plans revealed | CarAdvice

In case it was more recent, I've had a quick look at the Port Stephens Council website (development applications, and meeting minutes) and can't find any mention of it there. Of course it could be outside scope of the council DA process.

I'm currently charging at SSSH's new charger. Getting 57km/h on single chargers.

Thanks SSSH!

I'll post some photos later.

Announcing a new Sydney-Brisbane link in Ballina.
I have just installed a Tesla 32A 3-phase connector at my work in Ballina (no special adapters or leads needed).
Thanks Tesla!
I tested it for the first time today and got up to 110km/hr with dual chargers
Ballina is just off the Pacific Highway, about 295km from the Port Macquarie Supercharger and 195km from Brisbane CBD.
We have a 42kW solar array on the roof and although we use the lot, I am happy to share some electrons with fellow Tesla owners.
While we await the ?Ewingsdale ?Macadamia Castle Supercharger (Yes it will be one or the other), Ballina offers a most convenient link for through traffic.
Ballina is a small country town. We are close to the river and main drag. There is plenty to do for a couple of hours.
As the installation was only completed this week it is not yet on any map or list.
Find us at the rear of myEyeSpecialist Ballina / Ballina Day Surgery 46 Tamar Street, on Winton Lane.
Winton Lane is a small commercial access road running between Tamar St and River St.
The connector is on the rear left corner of the building on Winton Lane.
If there is a wheeley bin there just move it. It is there to deter our neighbours from blocking the space.
If the gate is open, feel free to reverse into the undercover spot.
I suppose a day hospital makes a bit of a weird spot for a destination charger.
If anyone is keen on an Australian first I could supply a list of operations possible during a 3-hour charge!

Noooo! We want it south of the Pacific / New England divaricarition!! West Wallsend is the place, Tesla, you monkeys!!

Looks like the obvious spot on paper, doesn't it! Like we all expected Seymour but they went for Euroa in the end. Perhaps they're just trying to get to Brisbane with the fewest number of sites.

I'm sure as numbers grow they'll add a few for increased density. Could see something on the Central Coast?
