The second Supercharger site in Edmonton has started construction!

It is in the Southwest in Windermere at the Wine and Beyond parking lot at 6284 Currents Drive NW, Edmonton AB. This is just off of the Anthony Henday Drive ring road.

They have installed the conduits and it looks like 12 pedestal pulls and 4 cabinet pulls, along with a transformer pad (so possibly 12 stalls with possible expansion to 16)

The conduit layout looks like it could be a supercharger, but the permit I identified in May looked more like Electrify Canada, so the cone may be a bit premature.

This is a different address. This location is about 860 metres away from the other location and is quite different in scope.

Your post was Canadian Tire on the East side of the complex (6014 Currents Drive) with 6 stalls.

This is Wine and Beyond on the West side of the complex (6284 Currents Drive) with 12 stalls, and was mentioned unofficially during an EV event in the spring.

I have been checking the Canadian Tire location as well, as a decent DC fast charging station would be welcomed here by the EV community.
While there is a new development just South of the Canadian Tire (between the Canadian Tire building and Windermere Boulevard) that is breaking ground that looked promising, they just put up a development map including parking layout that doesn't have any place for a 6 stall EV charging station, so that other (possibly Electrify Canada) location is likely to be in the Canadian Tire parking lot proper. But nothing unusual is there at the moment other than the garden centre occupying the South portion of the parking lot.

Just an update, I was there today and spoke with one of the crew. It is a Tesla Supercharger with 12 stalls, and the excavation crew should be done on Monday or Tuesday next week then the electricians will start on their part.

All Supercharger.

The pedestal pads are all narrow in depth, enough for a skinny Supercharger pedestal, but not a Flo/AddEnergie station.

There's also no new NRCan ZEVIP grants listed for Tesla past the already installed ones and no need for them to install any new DCFC especially if they can convert Superchargers to CCS with the Magic Dock later on.

Looks like a lot of progress. The pedestals and cabinets are installed, and the electricians are working hard on things. They even have a nice tent over one of the Superchargers ;p

Note: there are 12, but the trucks at each side hide one from each of the main angles I've shown here.

Also they are signed for "Tesla Vehicle Charging Only" and the parking lot is fairly big, so hopefully there won't be too much ICEing here.

Don't see a transformer pad yet, but that's to be expected this early on.

Looking at the Superchargers, they don't seem to have a Magic Dock (yet) just their standard holster.
There's 3 Supercharger cabinets, plus a double sized switching cabinet.

This is nice especially if you’re heading south and you need to top off, no need to head to Southgate to SC.

I’ll surely be there on Day 1.

Looks like standard V3 Superchargers and pedestals, nothing unusual about the holsters.

Supercharger Cabinet 2 has an extra box hanging off of it and is tagged "Star cabinet".

There is no transformer or meter installed yet so not quite yet but getting closer.
