Good for you denizens of the great northern prairie!
So, now the big question is. . .
With Fargo on track for a Supercharger, how will Tesla complete Interstate 94 from Billings to Fargo? Use Dickinson and head east to Fargo and west to Billings? Use Fargo and head west to Dickinson? Or start heading east from Billings? Fun times ahead, indeed!
Word from the OP is Bismarck and Jamestown are some other ND locations.
Welcome. Glad to see another fellow North Dakotan. There are so few of us.I am loving all these North Dakota permits, made me excited enough to make an account here to post! Supercharger in the town I live in won't help travel but I'll sure be happy to watch it get built. Just waiting on the Bismarck, Jamestown and Miles City permits to unlock the ability to truly travel.
Awesome! Are you in the Fargo area then? Have we met at any of the Fargo EV events?I am loving all these North Dakota permits, made me excited enough to make an account here to post! Oh! You are right by me! Awesome. Can't wait to have you over. If you have questions let me know. Almost 4 years EV only in Dickinson.I'm in the Dickinson area. I don't have an EV yet, waiting on my model 3 reservation currently. Been hesitant to purchase without superchargers in the state, and seeing them get pushed back for a couple years in a row has been worrying. Just glad to finally see progress in the area. Looking forward to road trips in the future too, we visit family in Minnesota and Wisconsin all the time and I can't wait to make the trip in a Tesla.
You must the be lone Tesla owner I have heard about here. Didn't know you were EV only! I'd be surprised if there are many other Model 3 reservation holders in Dickinson; hopefully getting superchargers installed in the town and state will turn that trend around. I've always been curious what the response was to having an EV in such a heavy oil and gas oriented town. I'll have to get a NEMA 14-50 installed eventually in my garage so maybe you have some good recommendations on electricians in the areaOh! You are right by me! Awesome. Can't wait to have you over. Odds are I'm the one, but @CarpetMan is also from the area. Our cars are very similar so people mix us up all the time. You must the be lone Tesla owner I have heard about here. Yes! Awesome. I've given hundreds if not thousands of rides by now. You should be sure to attend (or help host?) the SC openings nearest you. I plan to assist with all those within 200 miles of me and up to 300 if time permits.Heh, I've been waiting to make the opposite trip of Fulkth. Currently live in MN and have family [am originally] from Dickinson. I'm pretty sure it was lightfoot3b who gave me a ride in his Tesla almost 4 (or was it only 3?) years ago. When a charger gets put up in Jamestown or Bismarck I'll have to get my 3 out there.
Usually not much. I've been to the "grand opening ceremony" for several Superchargers. At the one in Reno, the town government had someone deliver a speech and the Atlantis management talked as well...but there was no speech by anyone from Tesla. At other locations, such as Lone Tree, a bunch of Tesla owners gathered and the Tesla store in the mall had refreshments. For other locations, such as Loveland, the Tesla owners held an unofficial ribbon-cutting and ate lunch at the hotel restaurant.Do they do much for SC openings? The nearest one that happened to me, I didn't know about it. Was following the thread here, got reports from people driving by on the progress, and suddenly "someone was there charging." No idea when it actually went live.
