Bumping this thread to let folks know that today I had 2022.8.17 pushed to me. It's installed and I'll be taking it on a road trip Friday. Not expecting any great changes as x.17 I believe is the recall for US Recall 24V-051 (text size). Fun fact. It's been 7 months since any type of software...

Soon us "classic" owners will have the 120kW sites all to ourselves again. :-)

Either way... it'll be nice to have the additional option. The current v2 SC is perfect for my 'classic' 70D, but not so much for my LR MY.

If this question was directed at me... New IONs are AS Old tires were Pirelli Cinturanto P7 AS.

My family did it in our 70D last year (didn't own the Y yet). Took some planning and always trickle charged when we were at our lodging (if it didn't have L2), but made it work. Plugshare and a CCS adaptor will be your friend. Good suggestions here.

Bumping this thread to let folks know that last Thursday I had 2022.8.16 pushed to me. On Sunday had this charge curve (V2 stall sharing power at the start). After sharing of power was done the curve did what I've come to expect.

Didn't keep that, but here are some snips from Teslamate on drives with an average mean of at least 55MPH this calendar year going back to late April (further back is worthless because of winter in MN). None of these are a duplicate route. New tires: Old tires: The route that I thought...

Haven't been able to do an exact route since getting the tires, but have ~2100 miles of driving on them. ~50% freeway speeds and ~50% non-freeway speeds. Currently averaging 265Wh/mile. Super happy with them thus far.

+ Free Super Charging (if the OP has that) changes the equation a bit (depending on driving habits). If my 70D could be made a 90D and charge reasonably close to the same speeds as my LR MY....I'd be in a pickle. See post #35 by @Recell in this thread which explains it...

@JVL fantastic write up, Thank you for taking time to do so. If you don't mind, would you let us all know the exact specs of your car. Thinking of things that are in my signature for my '15 S. I'm gathering from the original post that you have MCU2 but don't know which exact model and what firmware.

@Recell Does a not f-d with BMS recognize the voltage problem at any SOC or do you have to charge it up to 90% or higher for the BMS to pop the u029 error code?

@ChooseFreedom FWIW... I really like the AP1 software and auto lane change when I signal. I can't imagine doing a long road trip without it. AP1 software when I purchased the car was $2500. BTW.... what firmware you on now? Like some of us are you on 2022.8.10.12 yet?

There's a guy in our local FB group with a late '17 MS100D with MCU2 and is on 2022.45.15. Photo he posted shows power of 181kW after having already added 13 miles of range. YMMV.

@islandbayy like your P85 my 70D is on 2022.8.10.x. Holding out hope (misguided I think!) for a bit of higher sustained charging power with 2023.x

I run TeslaMate and for my 70D I'm still showing ~219 miles of projected range (no difference than prior to the update). Admittedly I've not driven the car much since taking the .11 update.

My '15 70D has a "born on" (ie manufactured) date of July 2015 and I took delivery in August of 2015. The number of issues with the car has been very minimal and I'd like to keep it that way as I roll out of the 8-year DU/battery warranty. In July I'll have it in for the recommended services...

@Asummers what was the service you asked to be performed and under what, if any, pretense? Was it just as simple as asking them to check for fluid?

@wk057 is there a way to pre-emptively force a BMS reboot so it does the tests or does a reset only happen with a new software push.

Just updated to 2022.8.10.8. Nothing to terribly interesting for my Legacy S - all minor bugfixes (which I kinda wish they'd detail out). Here's what I see for updates on my S since I started using TeslaMate.

Good stuff. Thanks for doing that. I'd love to pick up 55 kWh in 36 minutes! A while back I rolled into an SC with 0% SOC and it took 66 minutes to add 54.9kWh (brought car to 86% SOC)

Typically, a 70 tops out around 115-ish kW for a very short period of time. Here's an example of mine at a v3 SC. There's some evidence that the new 90 C packs can sustain more power for longer periods of time (ie reduces the amount of time sitting at a charger) as seen in this post: Time for...

Hover around 50-60kw even at something like 15% SOC. If so, that's very different than what I've experienced, but the10kW at 90% SOC is what I'd expect with my car. Consistent formula for me is SOC + Power = 100-ish (can go up to 105 when below 50% SOC). 10% SOC and get 93kW. 40% SOC and get...
