There is no current fix for the fan squeaking as it spins down. Those fans run near continuously and they just make a little bit of noise. Nothing really to be concerned about.

Took my P85 in for this same problem, service center in Costa Mesa, CA said they are aware of this problem and Tesla will be releasing a new part number in Nov./Dec. for this.. they know its a problem with the existing part. Nov/Dec in Tesla time means sometime around November or December 2019-2022 I guess.
Mine does not make a little bit of noise. It is incredibly loud. Loud enough to hear from inside the house when the car is charging and loud enough to hear from inside the car.
What about the acoustic blanket that was being installed per a TSB about 6 months ago? Did Tesla stop installing them?

I have an appointment in a week to fix the squeaky fan as well. Hopefully they have P85D loaners!
Has anyone attempted a self-fix on this? My 2016 MS has developed an obnoxiously squeaky fan up front - very noticeable when it spins down but audible all the time. Car is well out of warranty at this point so I'm not terribly motivated to throw a bunch of money at fixing a mild annoyance, but thought of trying some lithium grease or other home remedy if I had some assurance of effectiveness and an idea of how hard the thing is to get to.
Anyone have some guidance here?
