Noisy fan from outside when hvac on

I’m noticing this fan noise outside when the hvac is turned on. The fan speed setting is not on very high either. Anyone have an idea what exactly is the cause and if it’s a fairly easy repair?

I would start by checking for leaves or cabling making contact with the various fans in the frunk area.

I’ll definitely do that just wanted to make sure this wasn’t something that is common with a failed fan. Should have time this week to take a peek.

Fan bearings failure is quite rare, leaves and debris is a very likely cause of such noises. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Took the frunk lining out and there does not appear to be any debris in the area. My car is pretty much always garaged but I wouldn’t doubt leaves getting in there from normal driving. Starting to wonder if the fan itself is letting go.

Did you ever figure this out? Seems like a common issue, but wondering if it really is just debris (leaves, twigs, etc) or truly a bad fan.

To be honest I haven’t heard the squeaking noise for the past month or so. Can’t explain it. Didn’t really do anything kind of just went away on its own.
