I've noticed that recent versions 2021.12+ seem to require the steering wheel to be mostly straight to activate Autopilot/Autosteer. I wonder if this was part of the fix for this "recall" to prevent accidental activation when turning the wheel. If I keep the steering wheel within ±18º of center (a tenth of turning it upside down), I can activate Autopilot when behind another vehicle. I've run into this "issue" for the last couple updates where I can't reactivate Autopilot as quickly as I could before especially when changing lanes.
