Smoked Taillights

I know there's a lot more important/impressive stuff on the Model S today, but I thought I'd share some info I received from a Tesla rep today regarding the smoked taillights some have been seeing on the S in some pictures.

The rep mentioned that he knew the pictures I was speaking of, and that *none* of the Model S cars have had smoked taillights on them. He said they have all had clear lenses on all taillights (for meeting some state laws), and the smoked look has either been an effect of the lighting or camera. Actually, I think on some cars the lenses just look darker.

Anyway, thought I'd pass this info along. It's good news, I guess!
