Hong Kong
Hong Kong has had trouble in the past getting third row seats approved. Model S third row child seats were not approved here because they are too small for adults (with no allowance for child seats, and almost non-existent child seat regulations making it legal to put your child on your lap without a seat belt, but illegal to put your child in these specifically designed child seats with 5 point harnesses).

The regulation appears to be:

Every seat in a vehicle shall be secured to the body of the vehicle and shall, except in the case of a bus or light bus, measure at least 380 millimetres from the backrest to the front edge of the seat and 380 millimetres along the back.

That is not really clear whether it is from the front of the backrest or back. Let's assume it means the actual seating area.

Could someone with third row seats in their Model X please help out with some measurements (in millimetres)?

  • Along the backrest (width)
  • From front of the backrest to the front edge (depth)
  • Smallest depth of the seat
  • Largest depth of the seat
  • Smallest width of the seat
  • Largest width of the seat

(an annotated top-down picture would be wonderful, but just the numbers equally fine)

Many thanks.
