Service manual no longer free?

When I try to access the Model S service manual I get the following and a "try the home page instead?" error page:

https://service.tesla.com/error?message=You do not have access to this file

Have they been removed or are they available free anywhere else?

It's been a year since you "bought" it for free. You have to "buy" another 1 year subscription.
Happened to me a couple months ago I was super confused then realized it and just did the 1 year sub again and no issues since.

The site is working fine I was just on there a moment ago checking out some stuff for my front radar alignment.

Yeah, you might have to renew your subscription again for free if it's been a year.

Otherwise, try going to service.tesla.com and then navigating to the the Model S service manual because a lot of direct links to things in the service page won't work.

Ok thanks for further info, I have never subscribed for it in the past. Am I doing something wrong on the subscription page I can only see various paid options for the diagnostic tool:

What does it say on the main page after you log in?

that is for toolbox software that is NOT free. you need to go to the service page and get the manual at service.tesla.com then click on sign up now

I believe I am signed up with an account, when logged in I see the following, when I click on purchase it brings me to the toolbox software purchase interface:

It confused me too.
You no longer need to renew the free subscription. Just login and click on the service docs.

When logged in, go back to service.tesla.com and click the menu then select a model.

I'm exactly in this same problem. Used to have free access, and cannot renew the free access, but when I clock on a service manual, I get that page too. No Follow up?

Just now selected that manual link on post #1 and all access does appear to work. I also was confused after my yearly free access ended in May but now you do not need to subscribe any longer. Just use your login data you have with your account. After the initial access you need to select your interest (see photo 1) and new page will open with listed data:

Hi, also encountering this issue with my Model Y. These are the only options I have when attempting to "purchase" the free access which isn't listed anywhere for me to click, only ones that are paid for. I successfully have done so in the past which is why I'm stumped. Hope to find an answer eventually like you all do too.

That is exactly correct, and bizarre (to me). With Firefox the site looks completely different and you can't get at the service manual, but in Chrome, you can. Thanks! (the technology exists for the Tesla site to report browser incompatibility)
