Service Centre assistance with self-repair

I wondered if anyone has seen a difference in the willingness of service centres to offer advice on maintenance/self repair of issues.

My local service centre in Bournemouth has been brilliant but visited a different centre today and the salesman was messaging the service manager on Teams, who never actually came out to say anything to me, who then denied to offer advice on a seat repair and told me I would need to raise a service request and get Tesla to fix the issue.

My question related to an ambiguity in the service manual on how to remove the seat foam. I know they don’t want to take liability for the advice, but it seems this is different between service centres.

No different to any company in the world i'd say. You phone up your TV supplier to cancel and one guy will say ok bye! while the next will move heaven and earth to keep you as a customer.
