Self Driving X

So of course, the X wont be autonomous/self driving, but i could see self driving cars coming in the next 5years, or at least some form of it.

Do you think the X is going to come equipped to self drive in the future or will the X be able to get a retrofit to become self driving?

Hate to get the X, not self drive and then the option comes out in the future...

Ask again in three weeks. Tesla has told us that the current Autopilot sensor suite is not enough in their opinion. They've also told us that the X is getting something more/better in the way of Autopilot.

After the September 29th release, we may have an idea of whether it has enough sensors and processing power to drive itself on all streets in the future or not (pretty sure it won't come with the software for that initially.)
