Also wondering about a second reservation for my brother. Wonder if it's too much hassle with transferring it down the track.

I have not heard of any issues transferring reservations to other family members but if you are concerned all you need to do is provide their name and email when you make the reservation. The reservation will then be in their name and they will get an email from Tesla and be invited to create their own MyTesla account. I did this for my son and girlfriend -- it's a piece of cake.
