People who don't buy because of "charging time"

these are small spikes for a given year, but the long term trend is going down for the big three, wish it was not so
China will arrive just in time to kill off whats left, like in Europe

like the chinese govt is serious in helping their auto manufacturers, BYD, Geely, etc
the US govt needs to help prepare GM, Ford, Rivian, and Tesla for the pending Chinese onslaught
its coming and without intervention, it will be bloody
again, I wish it was not so
My family does not need a $16K Chinese auto, I'd rather and will stick with Tesla at $25K and up
God Bless America

After a 3 hour long driving I really need to rest at least 30 minutes. That's when I use FSD. If I don't use FSD or other kind of autopilot, I need more time to rest. I need to let the muscles for my arms and my body relax. The funny thing is my family members don't see that. They eat, drink, and sleep while I am driving. After my car is charged, they ask me to continue the trip right away. I have to politely tell them that I need to rest.

Ah, the joys of old age. My parents feel the same way. I on the other hand always travel with a 20L jerry can when I drive ICE, so I can pull over anywhere and be back on the road in under 5 minutes with 300km of additional range.

People just really need to be honest with themselves about their use case. How many miles do you REALLY drive on a daily basis. How often REALLY do you take long road trips. I haven’t used a supercharger in over a year. The one long road trip I took I stopped for 10 minutes on the way there and another 10 minutes on the way home.

I wish I had this car when I had my 56 mile each way commute. Stopping for gas twice a week suuuuuuucked! With my M3 I would never have to worry about that. In my opinion unless you participate in a weekly cross country cannonball run, and you can charge at home you don’t need to worry about charging.

I did a ~320 mile round-trip road trip yesterday in ~35 degree temps in my 3.5 year old, 45,000 mile, worth $10 and a bag of chips Model X.

I had to stop for 10 minutes on the way back from my destination. Barely had time to finish lunch in the car

What a POS

its a brain twist, but need to learn and force a new memory muscle
with home charging available, listen to the Tesla in-vehicle UI when it says, charged enough to reach the destination
the new memory muscle is to not charge to 100% when driving home or to a hotel with a L2 charger, thats how you get a 10 min charge

I've had my M3P since Sept '20. Love it, love driving electric. And I don't mind the supercharging breaks on long trips. What is boring is that since most of our road trips are on i20 to same campground in North Carolina, I have to visit the same 5 or 6 stations on the trip. Some diversity would be nice. Fortunately Tesla is building more stations between Fort Worth and there so eventually I'll have more choice in where to stop.

One way, that trip is 940 miles. Wife and I have done it in under 15 hours in her Prius. Best I've ever done it in the M3P is about 17 hours. We always do that trip with our dogs so no doubt they like the longer stops. The breaks are nice. I just get tired of seeing the same superchargers.

Based on what this OP has posted here repeatedly in the past, this appears to be one of the most abusive "friend" relationships I have ever seen.
I don’t know if we are friends or business partners. The kids at John’s Incredible Pizza asked if that was my partner because they saw both of us winning jackpots. We probably hang out because we both have the same goal of winning arcade tickets at a profit and this is a very niche thing I think most people only go to the arcade for fun and don’t expect to win big to the same extent as the lottery or casino.

He just has a huge disagreement with Tesla and autopilot and the people who drive them including me. And talks smack on Elon Musk like make the Tesla better why can’t the Tesla charge faster etc.

He likes nostalgic stuff like the old Chuck E. Cheese’s and wishes they stop remodeling their stores to be modern. And Tesla is probably in a sense taking away nostalgia of a traditional car that takes gas, has no autopilot, and no GPS. He wishes no car has autopilot he wants everyone to work for their driving miles.

Mark Rober invented an autopilot version of an arcade advantage player which is kind of cool. I think my friend feels cheated by autopilot like he wants people to work for stuff and not rely on robots.

But then robots probably built his Honda civic, he need to buy a Bentley or Mercedes AMG to prove he doesn’t want a robot to be part of society. I almost think he is racist to robotics and automation because he knows if robots were allowed at the arcade they probably could win more tickets and PS5s.

Robots arent a race, someone can’t be “racist” against a robot
