What are the top things a Newbie should know about the vehicle upon picking it up for the first time?

Pick it up at the factory. You're in the OC, just fly to San Jose and enjoy a great drive home.

I took the entire week off (not only due to the car as I was going to stop accruing vacation days). Had the electrical work done during this time. Took short trips here and there to get used to the car. There will always be some loose ends that need to tied up.

WHEW. I made it through the order process without any "strong exhortations" to upgrade my car! Your presence was missed but my wallet thanks you for your absence! And don't try to tell me it's not too late to upgrade. I can live with my beautiful wife in a nice house with an S85, or as a new bachelor sleeping in the back of a P85+. I CHOOSE OPTION ONE.
