How did that work out for Northwest Europe in 1940?
"For Sale - Dutch/Belgium/French WWII rifles. Never been fired. Only dropped once."
The problem with the USA is that we have never assisted foreign countries who occupied US territory. It makes us seem reckless to Europeans.
It's an alien concept to most of Europe. If you are attacked, you are supposed to surrender and help the occupation forces.
It was tragic, despicable, and hypocritical of what Western Europe did when the Poland was attacked. They even allied with Stalin who invaded Poland and later let Germans slaughter the Poles after Stalin assured them he would support an uprising against the occupation forces.
Europe taught the modern world about Massive Unlimited Warfare and Alliances With Demons. Kill Them All With Help From Satan. And today they preach they are biologically and politically different than in the past. I don't buy it. 2000+ years of war, and then they all buy tie-dyed shirts, and put No Nukes stickers on the cars? People at their core are no different than they were in Greek times.
Europeans in general are far more comfy with dictatorships and limited freedom in the name of safety than the US is. Hence they will never really understand the concept of personal defense. That is the duty of the State or Ruler. Personally, you are only responsible for surrendering appropriately.
