“Since 2016, NHTSA has opened more than three dozen Tesla special crash investigations where advanced driver assistance systems such as driver assistance system Autopilot were suspected of being used with 20 crash deaths reported.”

It's a trick of words.

Elon Musk referred to FSD beta while the press lumped all Tesla ADAS technology together: Autopilot, EAP, FSD, and FSD beta.

It's just like Jan 6: Were they rioters, or as Musk seemed to agree with Fox News, they are "sightseers."

It's a 2014 car with AP 1 at this time is not full autopilot not change auto lane, need constant hands on wheel and not cost 15 000$
No body spoke about is FSD or full self driving when this car is order at this time !
They have only 2 cameras and the manual SAID the car not detect steady objects or cars

AP is clearly in the title of the thread

AP1 does do Auto Lane Change after the turn signal stalk is activated by the driver.

It does that in both highways and city streets.

That feature is not available in the current more advanced Autopilot even with HW4.

With the most advanced hardware, you need to pay additionally for EAP or FSD for the parity of the feature.

Ap1 has only 1 camera.

The rear view camera is not part of Ap1. It's used by the human driver as a mirror and not by the machine for ADAS.
