Model S warranty outside US

Hi, i purchased a 2018 model s in turkey. It has battery limited warranty and drive unit limited warranty until may 8 2026. I took the car to official tesla service center in istanbul turkey and they told me this today "you cant use your warranty in turkey". Is this correct?

The reason for the service appointment is squeaking noises from the car. Here are the parts they want me to approve. Totaling around 1500$.

Tesla vehicles only carry warranty coverage for the market in which they were originally sold. NA, EMEA, or APAC

Warranties are region/location specific, and non-transferable; they are not global.

It looks like you have a grey market/third party imported MS? At least Tesla will work on it and you have some support… the worst case is that Tesla refuses to even touch it (i.e. salvage vehicle).
