From my reading about the only Non restricted Tesla is the original 2014 2015 Model S 60.

This is because an L plater is always accompanied by a fully licensed driver.
If there is an event that makes the driver liable to a fine or demerit points the Officer can write it against the accompanying fully licensed driver.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads Policy Unit have advised the calculation is to be based on the following information provided.
The 2012 Tesla Model S Performance model has a three phase, four pole AC induction 416 hp (310 kW) and 443 ft·lb (600 N·m) rear-mounted electric motor with copper rotor. The base model uses a 362 hp (270 kW) and 325 ft·lb (440 N·m) motor.
If you require further information or assistance you are encouraged to contact TMR on telephone 13 23 80 between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
