No mention of cost...There is usually atleast one "massive breakthrough" announcement per week on battery tech, and most of them are premature and fake. Well, scratch that, all of them are fake. These announcements are dime a dozen and generally made to dupe investors of their money. Most of these breakthroughs never come out of R&D stage.
BUT this one comes from CATL, the largest battery manufacturer from China. A very highly successful company. Also they claim they are ready to mass manufacture. So hopefully there is some truth to it and some real breakthrough comes out.
Could this new battery spell the end for EV range anxiety?
The world's largest battery maker says its new battery could power electric aircraft or propel electric vehicles beyond 1,000km on a single charge.www.abc.net.au
…battery it claimed could power electric aircraft or propel electric vehicles (EVs) beyond 1,000 kilometres on a single charge.
No mention of cost...
A thousand kilometers? Oh please. What is that in American, like, 50 miles?
Impressive math... But...A mathematical model trying to explain energy density and where the may be a limit,
Source: Cornucopia?
It is always 42..Impressive math... But...
1/137 ?
I thought the answer was 42.
