Interior chrome peeling

The interior chrome trim on my 2021 model s refresh is peeling and I want to cover it up completely, anyone have any good recommendations on what to use? I can only really find the wood covering but not the chrome part

I think there are vinyl options, but you'll want to remove the chrome entirely before applying vinyl, or the uneven surface will telegraph through the vinyl. This kind of failure looks like it's worth a warranty claim though.

I have tried but they refused to do a warranty claim their only option was to do a complete replacement and they quoted me over $1000!

Looks to me like the sticky plastic protective covering was never removed prior to delivery.

seems like its reacting to some sort of harsh chemical. What are you using to clean your interior with?

Yeah that’s what I thought too but there’s no way I can peel it off now if it was cause it’s just flaking off

Not sure what it was. I got the car used from a Dealership and they weren't sure either

The door panel might need to come off but a detailer or the dealership mechanic should be able to separate the strips and fix them.
