That's rediculous. He means when you have time, jump in the frunk to cool off in the tailgate-air conditioning area.

Exactly. But you will need a faraday cage style lining in the frunk to prevent idling on TMC etc.

Well obviously this was supposed to be "tire" rather than a Flux Capacitor.

Which some people consider an important safety net on particular journeys (the tire, I mean)

I suppose what we're considering is a sort of Thunderbird 2 idea where there are a variety of third party or Tesla-branded frunk-shaped options which slot in and out.

If 12V power was available there could be a Frunk-Fridge. Or a Frunk-shaped ice/cool box as a cheaper/simpler alternative

No, four tires is well enough, but there seems to never be enough time.

Is that plug on 24/7 or does it turn off with the car like the one in the center console?

I hooked it up directly in the 12v posts.
Someone might benefit on how to route it from the 12v battery, and how to remove the cover. This is on a 17 MS75D.

I thought the frunk was a live fish well. Fill with water and keep your caught fish fresh!

Or you could install an induction cooktop powered by the main battery and cook a pot of water in 5 seconds. Perfect with the new camper mode/ always on climate control update. Mattress in the back, stove in the front, No tent necessary

I had a similar set up with all my cars for trickle chargers, usually there is a pigtail that you can fish out somewhere on the front of the car.

I've thrown a huge garbage bag up there, filled it with ice and beers, and nosegated out of the Tesla. Once. It's a bit of a hassle to remove the watery ice without ripping the bag, but it was funny and worth the one-time laugh.

IIRC, that would be against current regulations. A hood requires a manual latch.

Has anyone painted any of the frunk interior panels? Possibly to match the color of the car? instead of just black plastic.

I was thinking of installing a small portable wireless projector and have it project onto the hood of the car as it's opened with drinks inside the frunk using a soft ice chest.
