highest VIN number in production?

Talking about last year, Dec 2013, my delivery at the factory was scheduled for 21st. The status remained "Sourcing parts" until 12th, when it changed to "In Production: The Tesla factory is building your Model S". A couple of days later, on 15th, it changed to "Production Complete: Your Model S is being prepared for pickup".

Just got off the phone with my DS: my delivery date has been bumped EARLIER now to 19th September. Shelbri that does make it look very likely we will be 'sharing the ride' from CA to the east coast! :biggrin:

My car (VIN 53256) went into production today. My delivery specialist said it went into paint today with general assembly scheduled for tomorrow. Four days from now I'll be picking it up first thing Monday morning at the factory. My excitement cannot be contained. People are already asking me why the stupid grin on your face?!

I suspect we'll see almost exclusively California/Washington VINs go into production over the next few days, as they still have a chance to be delivered before end of quarter. I'm VIN 55228 and was noticably shoved back in the queue because delivery for me means cross-country transit.

Don't forget Vancouver, just up the road. Our service advisor said they are all hands on deck this week and next delivering cars back to back.

The Simpson VIN 57160 is quite out of sequence. Confirmed earlier this month and delivery the same month? I ordered in August, but estimated delivery Late November, yet VIN only 400 higher.
