heated seats not working with app

I don't mean to duplicate but I think I posted in the wrong section.
As posted in the other section:

I've noticed lately that my Telsla app on my iPhone will not control the seat heaters.
Here's the scenario :
I use the app to warm up the car and also the front seats. As of late - when I set the inside temperature, the front seats appear to be on Auto (high default.) When I tap the seat icons to turn them down to medium or low, the app is either non responsive or has a long delay. The back seat icons are quite responsive. The steering wheel also defaults to high. I can tap the steering wheel icon and it easily goes from high to low to off. Upon further investigation I discovered that no mater what the app shows (ie: seat heaters are on) in reality when I get in the car NONE of the seat heaters are on at all - neither front seats or back seats. The steering wheel IS however ON as it should be and set the way the app shows (either high or low.) And the interior heat works just fine. I put in a service request, and they told me to do the Steering wheel two button reset -- no luck, still didn't resolve the problem. So I uninstalled the app on the iPhone -- still didn't work properly. iPhone is on Tesla App 4.27.5 and the car is on 2023.44.1.

I wish that I had paid attention just when this issue started to occur. My thoughts are that it is probably a software glitch - maybe with one of the latest updates -either with the phone or the car itself.s BTW the controls in the car work just as they should.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Exact same problem has been going on for the past year with my car. I think it has something to do with the Apple program itself. I contacted Service they had no answer. But I did discover that you can control the seats. What you have to do is tap to the lower left of the seat heater icons to make them work same thing with the steering wheel. It’s a work around and it’s a little awkward but it does work. Give it a try. Note the picture enclosed as to where to tap on the icon screen. Be patient for about 20 seconds after the climate control screen appears before you tap.

Are the ‘bacon strips’ icons supposed to turn red when you press on that spot? Mine does not, so I suppose that it does nothing when pressing there?! Or do I have to forst press on the seats, set it to 3 for example and after that press on that spot?

Remember that you have to give it 20~30 seconds once you have the climate screen up. You might have to experiment slightly to find the exact spot to tap on. Slightly to the left of the bacon strips, and slightly toward the back of the seat cushion. A short tap each time will cycle you through the settings from 'auto' to '3 bacon strips' to '2 bacon strips' to '1 bacon strip' and then to 'off.' I've lived with this 'work around' for more that a year now. I also sent my discovery to the service center, hoping they would pass it along to the app development team.
