Floor Mats, what to do with old ones?

Is there any demand for OEM floor mats? I replaced them. Should I just throw them away? What do people do with their old floor mats?

I gave mine to a co worker I am friends with, that ordered a SR+ that did not come with floor mats. I dont tend to sell stuff, though, I usually hold onto it and then give it to someone who needs it.

Do what I do and throw them in a guest room closet until you have an embarrassing large collection that you have no idea what to do with.

I use mine to protect the carpeting in my house until I can properly dispose of the body.

Stacked two or more high, they can be a good knee-saver when working on your car so you don't have to kneel on hard concrete.

I just kept them installed under my 3D Maxpider mats. More sound deadening

I put mine in the attic. Five years from now, and two years after I trade the car in for a newer one, I’ll discover them and toss them in the trash. This is the way with all my factory mats.

Yes, if you know someone buying an SR+/RWD that does not come with floor mats, give or sell the mats to them.

Considered this but thought it might raise the floor a bit much for my taste. Idk, might try.

Model 3 Owner's Manual | Tesla says that "To avoid potential interference with a foot pedal, ensure that the driver’s floor mat is securely fastened, and never place an additional floor mat on top of it. Floor mats should always rest on top of the vehicle carpeting surface and not on another floor mat or other covering."

For what it's worth I got my head down by the pedal and looked for any interference when placing my mats over the stock ones. No worries and wasn't even close to having the accelerator pedal touching the mat over the stock one.
