My guess is that Nina was just a codename (like Darkstar was to Roadster) and Atlantic is the new "public" name.

This is a Database Query error on the trademark site...

Some other guy named Fisker Sorenson owns that trademark and it is for clothing:

Goods And Services Jackets, coats, sweaters, shorts and trousers.

When typing in fisker it probably just queries all the "Fisker's"

Probably a good time to state the Tesla should hire Fisker to name their cars. Just about Tesla's weakest aesthetic.

Isn't the Karma convertible called the Karma Sunset? Or is it just "Sunset"? If the former, it's possible Nina is a "line" like Karma, and this is the Nina Atlantic.

Probably a good time to state the Tesla should hire Fisker to name their cars. Just about Tesla's weakest aesthetic.

To be honest, I'm OK with where they are heading (Model _). Fisker has a nice name in the Karma, Sunset, Surf and Atlantic (if it is), but it's nothing super amazing. Plus, look at Audi LetterNumber or RLetterNumber. Mercedes is pretty similar. I guess what I'm saying is, Tesla isn't far from the mark, and at least they're keeping it consistent (past Roadster)

For what it is worth, there is a classic old Bugatti that was called Atlantic too:

Looks pretty cool. Fisker goes for style, aerodynamics be dammed. Tesla's take is more slick.

I think that the specs( MPG, 0 to 60, trunk space, interior room etc) will have to be better than the Karma Model S to even be considered.

Well, looks ok. Looks sporty. Guess it will be a while before we find out if they're able to do a better job on the drivetrain. Word is BMW engine, single electric motor with 2 or 3 speed transmission.

They all have very similar lines, possibly because they share some artistic DNA leading back to one person. All fairly handsome though ...
