Zero Motorcycles revealed its 2011 lineup. Lots of changes. They've upgraded a lot of components, given them all a J1772 fast charging option and gave the off-road bikes a street package. I so want to try out the MX in the Apalachicola National Forest. There's a ton of pics and a video for each model.

I was about to write and say there wouldn't be a road bike but then I looked at my own story on the bike and a CRP person addressed this in the comments coyly saying, "never say never". Cool!

Racing range is about 25 miles. I imagine that's at least 80 miles on public roads.

This video features the 2010 version in action with their very talented rider in last year's final TTXGP race and is a great watch, despite the music.

Zero Motorcycles has revealed their "urban crosser", the Zero XU. Removable 2kWh battery for apartment dwellers.

Looks rather crude compared to others. I've seen conversions that look more finished.

Team Catavolt have attached 180 kW (241 hp) worth of electric motors to the swing arm of the Daelin they plan on road racing with. This might get interesting. Hopefully in a triumphant "I can't believe that worked!" kind of way.

Fido is a simple scooter design that hits all the right numbers for a city machine and doesn't look like it came from a certain distant country with low wages and a poor human rights record. Of course, that also means it costs more than most but it should last a lot longer too. Fetching design, no?

Chip Yates electric superbike is now up to 240 horsepower and 365 pound feet of torque. A recent dyno run showed 238 hp and 227 miles per hour. It's also losing the pizza box (mostly) and going to take on Pikes Peak June 3rd-4th .

Newest electric bike to hit the market is the Sora. Offers 120 mph and (not simultaneously) 185-mile range.

they have listed on their website (Experience the Sora - Powered by Lito Green Motion) that they will be at the F1 Grand PRix in Montreal this year so am assuming that they will be bringing a fully functional one to demo and they have a buttong for reserving a test drive.

I believe they have one built and are (or soon will be) testing it. They will bring the functioning one to the F1 though they are still negotiating the specifics for that event.
